Mid Century Modern Recovered Chair

This is an authentic mid century modern chair made by R & E Gordon Furniture Company. The lines are just perfect for any fan of the era!

To give the chair an update (as it was looking pretty sad) I sanded, primed, and gave it three fresh coats of dark grey paint. To further accent the legs, I dipped them on a light grey paint which gives it the super hot painted dipped leg look that is all over Pinterest. I then let the paint dry as it dripped down which allowed it to have this great textured look. The seat was reupholstered with a chic Ikat chevron pattern and added extra batting for more comfort. Then I replaced the broken back canning with super cushy foam matching fabric.

This is a fabulously unique little chair just waiting for a new home! And it is ultra comfortable too!
