Looking for a truly unique piece of furniture, something to stand out from the crowd and make a wonderful statement in your home? Then I have the perfect vintage piece for you.

This is an authentic mid century dresser, in need of a makeover. The old finish was scratched and coming off in various areas. It was built in the 1950's and has slight Asian lines.

To start, I stripped the entire piece. Then sanded, and stain it a red mahogany (the dresser itself is made of mahogany veneer and oak). Then the dresser was given a coat of ebony stain and a coat of polyurethane. Once dry, I sanded with 60 grit paper, and grade 3 steel wool, to add dimension and expose the red stain in parts. Next, I washed the entire piece with a gold glaze, to seep into all the scrapes and scratches. Finally, I hand waxed the dresser to a beautiful high gloss shine. The original hardware was cleaned and put back on the dresser. Yes, a unique labor intensive finish, for beautiful results!

This can easily be used in a bedroom, a living room for extra storage, or a dining room. A gorgeous

piece, waiting for a new home!
